WoodWare Celebrates 25 Years as Millwork Industry Software Leader

WoodWare Systems, from its very start, has kept a sharp focus on being the best software solution available for window, door, and millwork companies.  Founded in 1983 as part of a millwork company, WoodWare has developed industry specific business solutions for companies that pre-hang doors and sell windows, doors, and millwork products.

Nick Carter, president of WoodWare since 1989, said that the credit for the software company’s success belongs to two main groups: WoodWare customers and WoodWare employees.  “We appreciate our customers so much, and they give us great ideas and feedback on how we can continue to improve our software and our company,” said Carter.  ”Our software does a tremendous job of helping them become more profitable, efficient, and successful, and their input helps us to continue to serve them better each year.  Our staff is dedicated to providing outstanding support, training, and software development for our customers.”

WoodWare software modules include order entry, inventory control, purchasing, accounting, production, document management, warehouse management, web based quoting and ordering, and much more.  WoodWare is actively involved in the Association of Millwork Distributors, as Nick Carter is one of the first three associate members ever elected to the AMD Board last fall.

Carter points out that WoodWare’s employees bring creativity and new ideas in technology and software development, along with tremendous experience and millwork industry knowledge.  WoodWare’s ownership team is made up of working managers with many years of millwork industry experience.  In addition to Carter (19 years at WoodWare), the other owners are VP-Finance & Administration Dick Reidy (10 years at WoodWare after 6 years at a WoodWare customer and millwork company in Ohio), VP-Sales & Marketing Mike Owens (16 years at WoodWare), and VP-Technology & Development John Bland (25 years at WoodWare, from the very beginning!).

Other long-time employees include: Quality Assurance and Testing Manager Marsha Mundinger (20 years), Senior Programmers Cherry Williams (20 years) and David Rosenberg (18 years), Office Manager Barbara Anderson (15 years), and Purchasing Specialist Janet Nelson (15 years).  These experienced professionals, along with the rest of the WoodWare team, do a great job of taking care of WoodWare customers and continue to make WoodWare the leading software company in the millwork industry.
