Physical Inventory/Cycle Counting

The process of taking physical inventory is a time and labor intensive activity. Barcoding allows you to reduce labor and time by at least 30 percent with a level of accuracy that is many times greater than manual counting. Portable scanners are used to scan each bin ID and item number, then the quantity of each item is entered.

The portable RF scanner automatically updates the scanned information into the inventory database on the main computer and a variance report is immediately produced.
